Description
JEUVEAU® (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) is a 900 kDa botulinum toxin type A, produced from fermentation of Clostridium botulinum. JEUVEAU® (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) is supplied as a sterile, vacuum-dried powder in a single-dose vial intended for intramuscular use after reconstitution.
JEUVEAU® (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) is indicated for the temporary improvement of moderate to severe frown lines (glabellar lines) between the eyebrows in adults. JEUVEAU® works by blocking the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, inhibiting muscle contractions. This results in a temporary reduction in the appearance of dynamic frown lines which helps smooth out the skin above the muscles. JEUVEAU® should be administered no more frequently than every three months.
JEUVEAU® is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any botulinum toxin preparation or to any of the components in the formulation and when injected in the presence of infection at the proposed injection site.
